Gallo Family Recipes and
Food Links

There are literally thousands of web pages featuring recipes.
Here we want to list recipes that came from "grandma Gallo",
meaning recipes that have been in your family tradition for years.
Some are "really Italian" and were probably brought
to
your country by your parents or grandparents. Some recipes came
to our tables from the Gallo immigrants learning from
their neighbors in the 'new country." An illustration. Many
Gallo's settled in New Orleans in the late 1800's and quickly
adopted the seafood recipes of the area. Now 100 years plus later,
those recipes would certainly qualify being listed here.
For a time, we will simply collect the recipes and post them.
All coutries are welcomed. Later, we will resort the recipes
in logical food groups. We can't do this without you, so contribute
if you can. Simply e-mail the recipe(s) to us with historical
or informational comments. Tell us if the recipe is authetic
Italian or "adopted." Please type carefully so we can
simply
insert your recipe without having to type it again!
IMPORTANT: Place an explicit comment in your e-mail that you
release the recipe to us for publication. Your name will
be included as part of the recipe.
